Concept: Based on the image of a huge garbage container carried by a child on his head to earn his living, Hoang Ly is torn by the situation of Earning Living from Pollution – a fate of unlucky children. She has designed a huge garbage container – dinner table made of iron, 80cm of height (the standard height of a dinner table). On the table are presented “8 dishes” (8 dishes is the number required in festival dinners such as Tet – Lunar New Year) derived from 8 pictures, also taken by The Phong, of children collecting garbage from Dong Thanh garbage field to earn their livings. A hole is perforated in the middle of the table surface for the garbage collection. Hoang Ly invites the spectators to throw their trashes through this hole. The double actions made by the spectators who look at the pictures on the table like tasting the dishes and then throwing their trash on the same table – constitutes an important final touch for this installation art work.

Từ hình ảnh sọt rác to mà một đứa bé đội trên đầu để kiếm sống, Ly day dứt trước hình ảnh/yếu tố rác & miếng cơm, sự bẩn thỉu ô nhiễm, nghèo khổ & sự thanh nhàn, sạch sẽ (bát sạch ngon cơm), Ly thiết kế một sọt rác kiêm bàn ăn lớn bằng sắt, chiều cao 80cm (chiều cao chuan của một cái bàn ăn cơm). Trên mặt bàn được bày lên 8 “món ăn” là 8 bức ảnh chụp trẻ em trên bãi rác Đông Thạnh, Saigon, của Thế Phong. Mặt bàn được khoét trống ngay chính giữa bàn để làm nơi bỏ rác. Ly đề nghị khán giả xem triển lãm tự tay vứt rác của mình vào giữa bàn ăn. Sự tương tác tham gia của khán giả (xem ảnh trên bàn ăn và vứt rác) với tác phẩm sắp đặt này sẽ là một thành tố quan trọng tạo nên sự hoàn thiện của tác phẩm.
